Weekly makes sense when the mess genuinely regenerates in seven days: big or busy households, multiple shedding pets, serious allergy or asthma concerns (dust and dander control is a frequency game), homes that host constantly, or anyone for whom the house being always done is the entire point. Out here, mud season and wood-stove season push some biweekly homes to weekly for a few months — and back again. Good companies let you flex like that without a renegotiation.

Monthly works for tidy households that do their own upkeep and want a professional floor-to-fixture reset — empty nesters, singles, couples without pets, or anyone whose main enemy is deep-clean drift rather than daily mess. Know its limits: a monthly visit runs longer (and costs more per visit) than a biweekly one because four weeks of dust is real, and it maintains a home — it won’t rescue one. If the house is behind, start with a deep clean first.

Ask yourself: how many days after a clean does the house stop feeling clean? If the answer is five or six, you’re a weekly home. Ten to twelve, biweekly. Three weeks or more, monthly.
